It was Sunday morning July 4th, about 11 am. I had grabbed my spouse and son from the place of worship to take her to her office. Driving through Wasilla I was very surprised to see the town streets blocked to allow for the Independence Day parade happening on a Sunday morning. Very surprised indeed. Not surprised that Wasilla, or another community in America would host an Independence Day parade, but that Wasilla would take action on a Sunday morning knowing full well a large amount of its residence can be of both habit and conviction attending worship services. As I drove that morning I asked myself, how could this be?
Independence Day is definitely an important event for all of us; it is usually some time wherein families, friends, neighbors and distant relatives gathered together because of their annual barbeques and get together. This will not be just any parade; that is Gatlinburg, after all, which parade will include a bevy of giant helium balloons, illuminated floats plus more marching bands happy independence day quotes than you'll be able to count. Members of each branch in the U.S. military will probably be getting involved in the parade this year, as will many vintage military vehicles. Local law enforcement will also participate. In addition, most with the floats are sponsored by local businesses, including Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and Ripley's Believe It or Not. The resulting floats are as spectacular as the companies that sponsor them.
For many, a long time, before there was clearly a state of Israel, the Jewish people lived in various places all over the world. They were not happy with out a home country plus they decided there has to be your house country for Jewish people. This home country needed to be in Israel because that's the land promised to Jews within the Torah. The people who decided this are called "halutzim," or pioneers.
